WSRF Community Gear Swap

Volunteers Needed! See Below!

What: Rather than buying things brand new, extend the life of the earth’s resources by reusing and recycling items that other families are ready to pass on among our community! Join us in both passing along and acquiring items in preparation for the winter season ahead in an affordable and conscious way. Any items left over from the exchange, not claimed or left behind, will be donated to WSRF class supplies of gear. Across our grades, our teachers are constantly in need of back up items on unexpectedly cold or rainy days or when gear is forgotten to ensure all our students can be outside every day, rain or shine. Often called the ‘borrowing bin’, this gear directly supports students across our classes. Anything left over after that will be donated to Near New in Carbondale.

When to drop off items: Between Monday September 19th to Wednesday October 12th drop off in itemized bins in the Sun Room

When to ‘Shop’: Friday October 14th, two windows to shop and exchange 8:30-10am and 2:00pm-3:30pm at WSRF

What to Exchange: Gently used, clean winter and rain gear (for example: rain boots, rain jackets, pants, suits, winter gloves (smart fastened together!), winter hats, wool socks, base layers/long johns, snow boots, snow suits, pants, jackets)

Volunteers Needed!
