Early Childhood Summer Programs
Registration Opens February 26th 10am MST
Who: Children Ages 3 years to 5 years (must be potty trained)
When: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:00pm. (Registration is by week, see available weeks below)
What: Summer Camp at the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork provides children with an opportunity to connect with nature and live into the rhythms of a Colorado summer on our 13-acre campus bordered by the Roaring Fork River. Each day, students will spend ample time outdoors with activities including hiking through the wetlands to the sidearms of the river, exploring nature and tending to our garden. Time outside will alternate with focused, creative times from whimsical storytelling, singing, simple crafts to circle games. There is plenty of time for imaginative play as students enjoy the sunny days in the shade of our tall willow trees. Homemade, organic snacks provided each day. - the way summer was meant to be!
Cost: $450 per week
IMPORTANT Please note: all campers require an Emergency Medical Treatment Form, a current General Health Appraisal Form by a Doctor, and Proof of Immunization or Exemption Form. These forms are required for sign up, please have them ready.
Summer Camp sign ups are completely non refundable unless WSRF cancels the session. Sorry, no partial refunds for change of plans, vacations, playdates, appointments, illness, absences, or family-led cancellations. All summer camp sign ups are non-refundable.

Global Youth Explorers Camp with Ms. Kindra
When: June 9-13th, 8:30-3:00pm
Who: Rising 1st grade to Rising 4th Grade (Ages 6 to 9 years)
Cost: $425
What: Hello, Hola, Hallo, Kon’nichiwa, Ahlan, get your passports ready and join Ms. Kindra (WSRF faculty member) on a global tour around the world! Have you ever carried your lunch in Japanese furoshiki wrap, played the German game Schnitzeljagd, written your name in hieroglyphs, or eaten the Egyptian food Kushari? Each day of the week we will explore a different country from several continents through their food, culture, language, games, and traditions. Pack your bags and let’s explore together!

Fly Fishing Camp with Mr. Fuell
When: June 9-13th, 8:30-3:00pm
Who: Rising 5th Graders to 8th Graders (Ages 10-14 years)
Cost: $425
What: A unique five-day fly fishing summer program for rising 5th-grade students and older. This immersive experience combines expert instruction with hands-on fishing in one of the world’s premier fisheries. Held on our 13-acre campus along the banks of the Roaring Fork River, the program provides the perfect setting for students to learn essential skills such as gear selection, casting techniques, and learning to identify prime fishing locations. Participants will also explore the fascinating world of aquatic insects and their role in fly fishing while gaining a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship and conservation efforts for local waterways. By blending the rich history and fundamentals of fly fishing with practical skills like fly selection, fly tying, and ethical fishing practices, students will leave with a solid foundation in the sport and a lasting respect for the natural world.

Spanish Theater Camp with Maestra Amanda
When: June 16-20th, 8:30-3:00pm
Who: Rising 1st grade-Rising 3rd grade (Ages 6-9 years)
Cost: $425
What: Maestra Amanda, former Spanish and Class Teacher at WSRF, is excited to offer a theater-based camp this summer! “Canto, Maroma y Teatro” will be a fun space for children to immerse themselves in the Spanish language through drama, songs, games, and improvisation. This camp is designed to nurture creativity, self-expression, and a genuine love for Spanish in an engaging and playful environment. Over the course of the week, the children will collaborate to perform a short play in Spanish, bringing their unique gifts and talents to life. At the end of the week, families will be treated to a lively and vibrant presentation showcasing the children’s hard work and creativity!

Nature Crafts and Cooking with Ms. Hall
When: June 23-27th, 8:30-3:00pm
Who: Rising 1st grade to Rising 3rd Grade (Ages 6 to 8 years)
Cost: $425
What: Join WSRF teacher Julie Hall for a week of nature exploration on our beautiful 13 acre campus. Each day, we will create a craft from nature and prepare a snack, using a theme of the four elements and our local flora and fauna. We will have ample time for free play, games, group activities, and visits to the Wetlands.

Adventure Camp with Maestra Amanda
When: June 23-27th, 8:30-3:00
Who: Rising 4th to 8th Grade (ages 9-14)
Cost: $425
What: Maestra Amanda, former Spanish and Class Teacher at WSRF, is excited to offer an adventure camp this summer! Join us for an exciting adventure through the stunning Roaring Fork Valley! Each day, campers will embark on a field trip to explore the natural beauty of the area—whether it’s hiking through wildflower meadows, visiting peaceful riversides, or discovering hidden forests. As budding naturalists, they’ll create their own nature journals filled with maps, poetry, observations, and pressed specimens from the local flora. This hands-on, immersive experience will inspire curiosity, creativity, and a deeper connection to the natural world. At the end of the week, campers will have a personalized journal to showcase their adventures and discoveries!
Creative Speech and Drama Camp with Ms. Cohen
When: July 7-11th, 8:30-3:00pm
Who: Rising 1st Grade to Rising 3rd Grade (Ages 6 to 8 years)
Cost: $425
What: WSRF faculty member, Rachel Cohen, invites your child to awaken their heart and soul to their voice through Creative Speech and Drama. Creative Speech raises the spoken word to a level of consciousness and effectiveness by accessing imagination, breath, sounds, and movement. Children will have the opportunity to engage with speech exercises, listening activities, expressive play, outdoor adventure, story, poetry, dance, theater games and various performance styles.
Literacy Camp with Ms. Nicki
When: July 14-18th, 8:30-3:00pm
Who: Rising 2nd Grade and Rising 3rd Grade (ages 7 to 9)
Cost: $425
What: Help your child avoid "summer slide" by signing up for Miss Nicki's literacy summer camp! Join Ms.Nicki (WSRF literacy specialist and Wilson certified dyslexia practitioner) for a week of literacy camp for rising 2nd-4th graders! Work will be differentiated so readers at any level are welcome. We will strengthen reading and writing skills in the morning through fun, engaging activities and games while having plenty of outdoor fun in the afternoon!
Crochet and Cooking Camp with Ms. Pratt
When: July 14-18th, 8:30-3:00pm
Who: Rising 4th Grade to 8th Grade (Ages 10 to 14 years)
Cost: $425
What: Join WSRF Handwork teacher, Ms. Pratt, for a week of crochet, crafts and cooking! Each day we will work together to prepare snacks and lunch to eat with colorful, tasty, and healthy ingredients. The rest of our days will be filled with creating and making- learning new skills and completing a variety of projects with yarn, fabric and more!
Sopris Circus Camp
Who: Children Ages 9 years (Rising 3rd Grade for WSRF students) to 14 years (rising 9th graders)
Week 1: July 21st - July 25th 2025 Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:30pm
Week 2: July 28th - August 1st 2025 Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:30pm
What: Jesse “the Juggler” Shavel and Julianna Lichatz from the Sopris Circus at WSRF are teaming up once again to offer circus skills for children ages 9 -14 years. Aerials, tumbling, juggling, object manipulation, hand balancing, partner acrobatics, unicycling and other balance skills will be offered. Activities will vary by age for added challenges and depth for older students. The camp takes place on the WSRF campus offering a beautiful setting and inside and outside play areas for students during these summer weeks.
Cost: $475
Summer Camps sign ups are non-refundable with the exception of extenuating circumstances. Please contact the front office with questions. WSRF will issue refunds if camps need to be canceled by the school for any reason.
