Middle School Support Teacher

The Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork is hiring for a Middle School Support Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our Student Support Team and become a partner with the team in serving the students.  Duties include and are not limited to direct one to one support with students; supporting the faculty in helping them to understand and find the best way to support learning; perform assessment and screening of both new and continuing students; meeting with parents and colleagues; providing expertise and guidance to families on how best their student may be served; support community outreach with topics related to student support; provide administrative support along with other department members; and providing curricular and administrative support to the faculty as part of ongoing improvement process. 

Minimum qualifications would include:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent from a four year college or university

  • CDE teaching license in Special Education or its equivalent

  • Three years teaching experience in the minimum

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills

  • Willing to enroll in a Waldorf Foundation Studies and Willson System Introductory course 

The Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork is in the Rocky Mountains of Western Colorado close to Aspen. We are a Waldorf school with a dedicated faculty, student body, supportive board and a comprehensive toddler through 8th grade Waldorf curriculum.

We offer a strong benefits package, competitive salary, and remission. Our base salary for a trained teacher is currently $66,000 with yearly increments based on experience.
