Casey Kealey

Class Teacher, Grade 6

Before college, Casey worked with AmeriCorps NCCC for a term of one year. After continuing on to Naropa University, where she graduated with her B.A. in Religion, Casey began teaching in Waldorf schools in the Southwest and Northeast. In her most recent position at Brooklyn Waldorf School, she implemented creative changes in the lower school curriculum that enhanced students’ experience with the material. She is passionate about accessing her own creative impulses and developing curriculums that maximize student learning and enjoyment.

In her free time, Casey enjoys exploring new places and learning anything in the realm of anthropology. She conducted field research with primatologists in Rwanda and is currently finishing a graduate certification in Cognitive Archaeology through the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. She is also completing her Waldorf Teaching Certification with Gradalis Teacher Education, based in Denver.

Casey considers herself lucky to be a Waldorf Teacher, and has cultivated a positive impact on children in the wider Waldorf community. After working in different landscapes and Waldorf settings, she is grateful to be moving back to the mountains, where her love for Waldorf Education began, and honored to be part of the WSRF faculty.
