Heather Handy

Faculty Mentor

Heather received her B.S. in Special Education with a minor in Visual and Performing Arts from the University of Maine and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education and Waldorf Teaching Certificate from Antioch University. She is a member of the Anthroposophical Society in America and received teaching certifications for Maine and New Hampshire. In 2004 Heather took the first grade position at Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork and graduated the Class of 2012 eight years later. She then taught the next rising 8th grade, carrying the class of 2013 to completion. Following graduation, Ms. Handy transitioned into the role of Faculty Mentor, which she continues to this day, supporting teachers in their work to meet all facets of the modern student
