Liesl received a Bachelors in Commerce with honors specializing in Marketing with a minor in Visual Arts from the University of British Columbia. She also holds a Masters in Education from Antioch University New England and a Waldorf Teaching Certification from Antioch University New England.

She brings a unique combination of diverse marketing experience and a rich background in Waldorf Education. Liesl is a graduate of the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork (attending K-8) as a member of the school’s first kindergarten class on the current Carbondale campus as well as attending 11th & 12th grade at the San Francisco Waldorf High School. Her experience varies from brand development and corporate communication in Vancouver BC to a fast paced role in a PR agency in New York City. Liesl has since shifted her focus back to Waldorf Education and has worked in multiple early childhood classrooms at both Shining Mountain Waldorf School in Boulder, Colorado and the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Liesl was also the co-class teacher of the WSRF class of 2028 for the 23/24 school year after assisting the class from 1st to 3rd grade.

Liesl is an avid hiker and adventurer, having solo hiked 2,424 miles of the Continental Divide Trail from Mexico to Canada.
