Learning Materials Pickup Schedule and Plan (March 27th)
Learning Materials Pickup Schedule & Plan
March 27, 2020
Dear Parents,
Greetings to you! I hope that you and your family have had a pleasant week. It continues to be a strange and perhaps remarkable time in our lives. I still marvel at the experience of it all. It has been a different type of Spring Break than any of us would have imagined.
As Spring Break comes to a close and we begin our distance learning program on March 30, we have quite a bit of information to communicate to you. All of you have already received helpful letters from your class teacher over the course of the past ten days which hopefully have prepared you for our start up next week. They will be communicating to you further about your child’s specific schedule. We also have overall information to share with each of you.
Today’s newsletter describes how your child’s needed learning materials will be shared with you on Sunday. Tomorrow’s newsletter will share the description and guide for supporting your child(ren) with their learning at home.
LEARNING MATERIALS DISTRIBUTION
On Sunday, March 29th from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM the Handwork Room will be open for you to come to school to pick up your child’s learning materials packets and musical instruments.
Larry Smith and Tim Connolly will be on campus during the course of the day to help out as needed. For all classes, Starflower to 8th grade*, there will be packets for you to pick up.
*1st and 2nd grades, Mr. Allen and Mr. Marchand have been or will be in touch with you to communicate a different method for the distribution of their student’s materials.
Please note that we are in compliance with Governor Polis’ latest decree for Colorado, as this pick up is essential to the work of the school. All materials have been placed into packets by the faculty using plastic gloves and the utmost care to avoid spreading germs 36 hours prior to the room being opened again. We did this to meet CDC health guidelines. The Handwork Room was thoroughly cleaned during this past week along with the rest of the school. Please note that we will ask you to have no other access to the school buildings.
With that, we have a just a few directions:
a.). The Handwork Room is located at the far side of the Middle School classrooms, where the yellow bus is parked. There will be a table outside of the room with hand sanitizer for you to use as you enter.
b.) Please keep six feet away from anyone at school.
c.) We would like to limit the number of people that come to the school on Sunday, preferring that just one parent arrive for the pickup.
h.) If a family needs home delivery, Larry Smith is our coordinator for this service. Contact him at Larry@waldorfschoolrf.org or at 970-404-1801. For other needs, you can also be in touch with Tim at Tim@waldorfschool.org or at 949-648-8310.
Thanks for your understanding! Please let us know if you have any questions.
With gratitude,
Larry Smith , Anne White and Tim Connolly
