The Advent Spiral is an annual festival of light that intentionally sparks reflection in all our students. As we move into the darkest months of the year, the advent spiral allows each student to find their inner light to carry with them. This is a quiet, reflective moment and each student will complete the spiral during the school day on December 2nd and 3rd. An Adult Only Evening Spiral Walk will also be hosted on Tuesday December 3rd at 7pm. RSVP to holly@waldorfschoolrf.org
Winterfaire, our community-wide celebration of the winter season is just around the corner! Join on campus December 7 from 11am-3pm for the festival which includes family crafts, holiday shopping, music, food, treats and more. This is a fundraising event for WSRF as a non-profit organization and all proceeds from ticket sales and the Winterfaire store directly support our annual fundraising goals.
Parents: We have 3 Asks of You to make this magical event possible
We know that we are asking a lot of our parents to make this event possible and we truly cannot say thank you enough. Here are the three pieces we ask of parents. Together this magical community event is possible:
Please sign up for at least 1 volunteer shift on Friday or Saturday. Each class is assigned a specific area with extra hands always needed for parking, helping hands and the store
Each family is asked to create 5-10 gifts for the Angel Room. The Angel Room is a special, child-only shopping experience for students filled with hand-made gifts. Students get to shop alone for their families which is a special experience. The gifts are provided by our entire community. Here are some ideas for gifts
Each family is asked to provide 10 bite sized treats for the Sweet Shop

Kindergarten: Walnut Fairy Float
Grade 1: Wool Angels
Grade 2: Sweets and Cider Shop

Asher Moebius, WSRF Class of 2020
Asher is spending his first year of University attending Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland. After being accepted to University of San Diego, Asher decided he wanted a more cultural experience. At the beginning of summer he pivoted and began the application process to attend school in Lugano. He was accepted, granted a partial scholarship and personally took care of getting a Visa while organizing his study abroad.
Asher was recently in Florence, Italy where he visited the Duomo. For his 7th grade wax museum project, he played the role of Filippo Brunelleschi, a founding father of the Renaissance and architect of the Duomo. It gave Asher great pleasure to see the Duomo in person after spending hours creating a model for his presentation.
