Community Advent Spiral

As the busy holiday season approaches, we invite adults in our community to come and join in our annual Walking of the Advent Spiral in the Great Hall on Tuesday, November 30 at 6 pm. For those of us that have had the privilege to participate in this cherished tradition, we may look forward to the quiet, candle lit hall where gentle music accompanies both an outer and an inner journey of meditative walking. For those new to this special event, we welcome you to have your own unique experience.

Note that people indoors are expected to wear masks.

Please RSVP to Karyn Andrade at karyn@lazure.com or Holly Richardson at holly@waldorfcarbondale.org. Warm cider and simple, sweet treats will be shared, along with a brief orientation and welcome by Karyn and Holly.

If your child is at home sick, and you’re wondering about testing, the recommendations are:

  • To test as soon as possible. If your child has covid, the sooner they isolate the better to reduce chance of spread.

  • If your child has any major symptoms, or mild symptoms that have persisted longer than 48 hours, a negative PCR test is required prior to returning to school. Major Symptoms - Feeling feverish, having chills, temperature of 100.4o F or greater - New or worsening cough - Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing - Loss of taste or smell
