Norma and her family have lived in Glenwood for 21 years. She worked with the Valley Settlement organization for 5 years, with the LWL Learning with Love program, which serves families with children from 0-3 years old. It was a great experience for Norma with a lot of learning and opportunities to connect with families. She also worked with the ECN organization for 2 years, with the FFN Families, friends and neighbors program, making home visits to families and connecting them with community resources. Norma loves children and enjoys working with both children and families.

Norma grew up and was born in Reynosa Tamps, Mexico. She and her husband came to visit the Roaring Fork Valley in 2002 and he fell in love with this beautiful valley full of mountains around us. They have 4 wonderful children; Christian is 19 years old, he is in his second year of school, he likes to play the guitar , sing, ride a mountain bike and ski. Cristina, 17, is in her last year of high school, dances Folklorico with ASFB and does mountain biking, loves art. Carlos, 13, is in 8th grade, plays baseball, football, wrestling and mountain biking, 10-year-old Chase, plays baseball, football, dances folkloric with ASFB and loves art. Norma’s husband Gilberto plays softball and loves mountain biking. Norma’s favorite season is winter and she love hiking and taking photos, They have two puppies, Lucas and Tank.
