Alexis Jones
Parent & Child Assistant Teacher
Raised in the Sonoran Desert, Alexis received her BA in Communication Studies from the University of Arizona and her MA in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. An avid world traveler, she taught English in South Korea before returning home to teach third grade in Tucson, Arizona until her son, Sawyer was born. Alexis then moved into early childcare before moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2017 with her beautiful family.
She has been actively involved at Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork since her son began his WSRF education in 2019. Alexis plays many roles at WSRF as an assistant, substitute teacher, volunteer, and member of the Parent Council. In addition to working at WSRF, she is a caretaker for an elderly friend in the valley.
Outside of WSRF, you’ll find Alexis immersed in the lovely mountains of the valley with a mountain bike, a harness and climbing shoes, trekking poles, or skis– usually trying to keep up with her son.
