Holly Richardson
Parent & Child Lead Teacher
Holly studied music, literature and the social life at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After college she ventured out to Eugene, Oregon to do grassroots organizing around environmental and consumer protection. It was there she discovered ancient forests, hot springs, and Waldorf Education. She received her Waldorf Foundations and class teacher training at Emerson, College in Forest Row, England. Additionally, Holly has completed a Lifeways training to support her work with parents and young children and more recently, studied the development of children ages birth to three through Sophia’s Hearth. She is currently practicing Nonviolent Communication, inspired by her recent studies with the Center for Nonviolent Communication. She has taught parent-child classes, preschool, as well as grades 4–8 at WSRF. Holly plays the ukulele, kinderharp, lyre, piano, various flutes, and more. She is the mother of two young men, Henry and Noel, and is supported by her wonderful husband, Dan. Holly believes food is love and enjoys cooking colorful food, dressing in ruffles, and moving on wheels, her yoga mat, a dance floor or anywhere with her hoop when she is not practicing an instrument or making up a new song. Holly recharges her mermaid battery whenever she can in whatever water, cold or hot, she can find. She pays homage daily to the Goddess of Good Enough.
