Parent & Child Assistant Teacher

Whitney was born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley. She attended Basalt Elementary School where they had a bilingual program that cultivated an interest in language and culture that continues to flourish today. With this interest many connections and friendships were made and experiences had to support her growing curiosity of Latin American culture. Whitney participated in Mexican Folklorico Dance through Aspen Santa Fe Ballet for a number of years that has also led to a love of dance and movement. In Highschool, Whitney took Spanish and French but went on to study Elementary Education through CMC. She felt that the public school sector was not the route she wanted to follow and went on to obtain her Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher certification in 2022.

Whitney has visited Mexico a number of times including a one month road trip in a 1953 Studebaker and most recently participated in 2 intensive weeks of Eurythmy at Auriel Eurythmy in Mexico City. She lives in a multi-cultural and bilingual home where language and culture continues to be explored every day.
